MY LIFE STORY
I was born in Miami Florida on the 02/20/1989 at Jackson Memorial Hospital. My mother tells me this story several time, but I feel like it's the first. The hospital made her choose between her unborn son and death. Obviously she picked death over killing her son or I would not be here today. Furthermore the hospital was wrong, my mother lived to see another day, after having I; e me. I will expound you with the many events. From elementary, middle, high, and what I learned from the first week of college life.
First is elementary school. The first time I went to school. I can remember, It's was easy at the started but hard at the end. Contrast to Miami Dade. Edison park was fun, but I regret never picking up a book at that time. Admittedly for give me I was a bad child. Let me tell you what started this off. I was in the first grade, that's where I started to be more on my own. The day starts off good, go to class then work for two hours after that lunch. Every day was the same way, but not November 3.1995. Lunch was where it all went down. At Edison Park the classes sit together during lunch. This boy from the other class throws a massive amount of milk in the air. The milk spreads and hits my classmates. Someone screams food fight and next thing you know it food was in the air, am telling you there was chaos. The principal stopped every one in the lunchroom, and they was about to get in trouble. But before the fight happened I had gone to the bathroom. As soon as I got out of the bathroom, the principal just look at me and said. "I started this and I tried to run, but he's a step a head." I was clean and the others were camouflaged with food. I got in trouble with the students and cleaned the lunchroom alone. After that day, I was bad half the school year. That evil principal transferred to another school. With him out of the way, my behavior improved, as the school year gone. Graduation was here, finally I got the since to pick up a book to learn how to read better. This was the next step to life. Entering a new world, and ascending a level.
Second was Jr. high, the first day of school was not good. I had many disputes with students. Like always I have been going to class on time, and doing my work. Some students think otherwise. Children throw things frequently around the classroom and also in lunch, at that age. The first and second did not hit me but the third did, we exchanged words then got in to it and started fighting. Just like that the first day, became to ten days outdoor. When that was over I returned to school once again, and ran in to the basket ball coach at Horse Mann Middle. I started playing basket ball for the first time. Since then, time passed very quickly. I was in the seventh grade already. I had grown over the summer, six foot at the age of twelve years old. I can remember it like it was yesterday. My first game at the school was the thing I feared the most. I never played basket ball. When the coach told me to get in, I was ready. People cheering, coach’s was screaming, and the other player talking smack in my ears. It was the best time of my life. The basic concept of this story, is to never give up on what you love the most in life, it will pay off. The first time I accomplished a dream, was when Horse Mann Middle school basket ball team was the winners of the 2004 championship games. I will never forget that day. But it was not like high school. Miami Edison Senior High school was the most corrupted high school basket ball team ever. They never work together as a team, my ninth grade.
Next were my first year, and a new school and team. Not trying to seem pessimistic but, going to Miami Edison Senior High School was a bad idea. From the whole four years I’ve been there, all I learned was FCAT. Starting with Reading 180, yeah I may have passed the FCAT in the tenth grade, but that’s all I knew at that time. Then after that I forgot every thing I learned from the FCAT, my senior year. At that time basket ball was not always on my mind. Graduating on time and going on with my life was the most important thing at that time. Because every year I seen a senior crying or dropping out because they have not pass the FCAT. Going to prom was the most horrible time of my life, and no I didn't have the money to attend granite. Walking down that hall at graduation told me that this was something I was born to do, to be the first in my family to go to college.

Finally I accomplished another part of my goal, next was college. But things started to go bad after graduation. I got fired from my job and lost with my friends. Always scared of new life meeting new people, The last week of college at Miami Dade, I had professors that are funny, smart, and will qualified for there jobs. In conclusion I hope Edison park, Horse Mann, and Miami Edison teachers done there jobs right. I wish to be successful in the future.

Pharmacy

I hope to accomplish working in pharmacy, in the next ten years. Pharmacy is some thing I always wanted to do as a child, making 150 thousand dollars a year. Seven years from to day, the year 2015, I hope to accomplish this goal. Learn how to be more diligent, devoted, and attentive. Being more risk taking, and have more knowledge at the age of 21. I also hope to form a better attitude at the end of the semester. My next goal is to stay healthy, to see 87 years old. Along with making sure that my children have, what I didn’t have as a child. Another thing is to learn how to choose the right friends.

Next my goal is to get in to a university, if I do that good at Dade. Motivation is one of the key things to better your self, and have a more successful life. Like for time to time I would ask my self, “Why am I here?” think then say, to be independent at the age of 21. In the future I won’t to be able to put food on my table for my children. Second is organization to have thing done on time. Am trying not to stress my self out now because there’s too much to be done.

Third is to be in more control of what I do in life. Like knowing when to go party and doing homework. Have too much hours to do at work, and have school the next day. Because things now is going down the river and that river can’t stop until the year is over with. Admittedly I need to improve in my relationship skills; this is some thing I would like to better in the future.

Finally is managing time and money right, by the end of the semester. In last is overcoming the fear of failing. The goal list can go on, being a pharmacist is some thing I really won’t to do. No one told me to do this; I wanted to come here to Dade. I want to prepare myself for the future and be ready for these challenges in my life. I’m so afraid.

In conclusion I hope in ten years that I would have accomplished these goals. When I reach the age of 21, I hope to be more diligent. Next was bettering my attitude with others and learn to speak more. Staying healthy is one of them, and being able to pick the right friends. If I can skip ten years in the future to see how it feels to be responsible, I would.

Hurricane Katrina

Hurricane Katrina was the costliest and one of the deadliest hurricanes in history of the United States. The hurricane became a category one when it came to Florida. Many people living in the area were unaware when Katrina strengthened from a tropical storm to a hurricane in one day and struck south Florida near the Miami-dada Broward county line. The hurricane struck between the cities of Aventura in Miami Dade County in 2005. As a tropical storm forming in to a category one hurricane made me think as the storm pass through Florida I knew Katrina was a storm I feared the most. The sixth strongest Atlantic hurricane ever recorded and the third strongest hurricane on record that made landfall in the United States. Some people in the class can reminisce about the last strongest hurricane Andrew as a child.
Katrina caused devastation along my neighborhood. Most sever loss of life and property damage occurred in New Orleans and Louisiana. Katrina is the eleventh tropical storm, fifth hurricane, third major hurricane, and second category five hurricane of the 2005 Atlantic season. Katrina was the biggest storm that struck Florida. The category five hurricane killed many people and made a lot of people home less. The after effects and how we had to live. Miami Dade County had damages from left to right. How it affected me and my life.
In conclusion Katrina is estimated to have been responsible for 81.2 billion dollars in damage, making U.S. history. Reading from Katrina stories on the new and reading about it made me think again I’m very happy to have made it through that hard time. If I can change this experience I would.
